It is important to budget and pre plan expenditure for a media products because the media creators must make profit therefor there costs must be limited for example film makers don't have a blank cheque and they will need to work out where they want to spend there money and where they may want to cut costs if there ideas would exceed the budget. This is also to make sure that the film gets completed and that 70% through the film they don't run out of money and are unable to complete the film.
