Development Financing is sought. This is important as without the money to male the film it can't be made.  Locations are researched is important because they need to find the exact place which fits the scene and and start to work on getting them locations planned. Previsualisation images are images that are drawings of important scenes and characters which help people have an idea of what the film looks like. The costume and set design will use these to help make the costumes and make up of the characters. Sets to gain the overall feel of the environment around them. Furthermore these are a vital part of the pitch to production companies to try and get the film funded. Logistics of production

It is important to budget and pre plan expenditure for a media products because the media creators must make profit therefor there costs must be limited for example film makers don't have a blank cheque and they will need to work out where they want to spend there money and where they may want to cut costs if there ideas would exceed the budget. This is also to make sure that the film gets completed and that 70% through the film they don't run out of money and are unable to complete the film. regulation

Newspapers regulation body is IPSO (Independent Press Standards Organisation) . These have a code of practise that newspapers must follow. There are 16 different areas of regulation. this includes things like accuracy and privacy. If they don't follow the codes IPSO has the power to sanction the newspapers Tvs regulation body is OFCOM this deals with live TV and prerecorded TV. They have 10 codes which cover several areas from under 18s to elections and referendums. IPSO regulates newspapers by people being able to file complaints. IPSO then investigate the complaints and if they adjudge the newspaper to have done something growing then IPSO can punish them with fines or force them to make a public apology for example. OFCOM regulate TV by having a look before broadcasting sometimes. other times its after its broadcasted and then complaints may occur. Funding media

Films can be funded by production companies. these companies such as Warner Bros and Lionsgate. These fund projects from directors with ideas they think will be a success in return for profits. There are also grants as a source of finance from people like the British Film Institute. These provide grants to fund films production expecting nothing back. They can also be funded by merchandise sales cinema tickets selling the rights to the film and sponsorship. Films such as the avengers was funded by the production company. Independent films will get there funding from lots of places one of them is where they may do crowdfunding which means that people will give them money sometimes in return for something but other times its just if they like the sound of the product and want to help it get funded for example go fund me is an example of a crowdfunding website.
